Because I don't like binding the back of an 18c dress, I'm sharing pictures now. The stripes made it easier and harder at the same time. In other words, unlike the brown anglaise, it's not wonky. However, it allowed no wonkiness. Even though it's going to be covered with trim it'd annoy me because of the stripes.

Today was incredibly busy. It started out at the quilted clothing exhibit, which I'll share some pictures of in a different post. Since padawansguide asked, and I realized it was a good idea, I took pictures of the lacing. There are originals that have lacing under the robings. I don't know for sure if stomachers were pinned over the lacing, but it works so well and is so much easier than pinning that I decided to do it that way.

For the longest time it was the black ball gown (and who knows, maybe I'll change my mind if I can wear it again). Then I think the 1869 day dress beat that, but only because I was so, well, proud of myself for doing it. But the brown anglaise? I LOVE IT!!!
